The main purpose of Wild Mountains is to provide environmental education programs for young people (10 – 16 years of age) to understand the interconnectedness of our planet's resources and our actions. We run residential camps for Southeast Qld and Northern NSW schools throughout the year, as well as offering a range of other programs for university and international students, and workshops for local groups. Volunteers also contribute significantly to Wild Mountains through monthly volunteer weekends. You can read more about on the Our Story page.

Wild Mountains Trust (ABN 75 767 213133) has endorsement as an income tax exempt charitable entity under Subdivision 50-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (ITAA 1997) (Item 1.1 – charitable institution). The Trust is also endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) under Subdivision 30-55(1) of the ITAA 1997 Item 6.1.1 – public fund on the register of environmental organisations).
