What to Bring & How to Get Here…

What to Bring:

Walking shoes, warm clothes & jacket (we’re in the mountains so it can get cool), raincoat (we do have some you can borrow if needed), sleeping gear if you can, sleeping bag, pillow, extra blanket (we provide the place and a mattress), changes of clothes, torch, water bottle and toiletries, and most important of all - a good attitude.

How to Get Here:

Address: Philp Mountain Rd, Running Creek, QLD 4287

Google Map (remember to check from your starting location).

Here is the Mud Map - we recommend downloading before you begin your journey as phone service can be patchy as you arrive in our area.

Please note that the last part of the road to Wild Mountains is 4WD ACCESS ONLY. We will meet you at the pick up point where your vehicle will be parked and drive you the last 2kms. If you are travelling in your own 4WD it is still important to arrange what time you will be travelling and where possible arrive at the same time as the group so that you can drive in convoy.

We recommend that you call us when you leave Brisbane or the Gold Coast and then again when you come through Beaudesert so that we can meet you for a pick up at the right time.

Please call us on +61 7 5544 1377. If you do not get anyone please leave a message. Alternatively you can call or text Richard on  +61 438 076 044.

How Food Works:

Wild Mountains is a vegetarian centre for a number of reasons the main one being that we like to give community an opportunity to eat a little lower on the food chain and perhaps try something different. With that in mind, we provide all meals (breakfast, morning tea, lunch, dinner and sometimes if someone is in a baking mood, dessert) and cater for gluten free, vegan and dairy free when required. Please advise any food allergies or intolerances before arrival so that we can ensure we have the appropriate food choices to cater for your needs.

Feel free to bring food to share, and if you are able, a small financial contribution to help us cover food costs is very appreciated (most people will donate $20 - $50 for a weekend). This is really important as it means we are able to continue with these weekends without making a compulsory cost. If you are unable to contribute financially this is ok too.

We are looking forward to meeting you all and having you at Wild Mountains. Please feel free to give us a call any time if you have further questions.
