Caddies
Caddies is a recycled timber cabin designed to be home for long-term volunteers and was named in memory of a passionate volunteer at Wild Mountains. It was completed by a large team of volunteers in 1998 using timber that was sourced on site or nearby. There is a slow combustion wood stove for cooking and hot water, a composting toilet and is connected the water and solar supply of Wild Mountains.
The building is oriented to capture northern sun when it reaches through the forest and the bay window is a favourite sitting spot for residents and visitors, where you can sit and admire the birds and native plants out the window. It has a cosy feel and is the perfect place if you prefer something a little more than a camping experience.
The bedding configuration for guests is as follows:
Bedroom 1: Double + Single
Bedroom 2: Queen
Bedroom 3: Queen
Bedroom 4: Single
Please BYO Linen and warm bedding.
