Become a Guardian Member

Members have a legal right to help steer the organisation as well as limited liability for Wild Mountains on-going operation.

Each members has a personal responsilbility to be inolved in the life of Wild Mountains. Everyone should try to make positive contributions and be open to learning new skills.

As a limited liability company, Guardian Members also have a limited liability of $100 for Wild Mountains’ on-going operation.

Guardians must be at least 15 years old, and need to be nominated by an existing member. Before being approved as members, their application will be ratified by the board of Wild Mountains.

For over 25 years, Wild Mountains has dedicated itself to the mission of educating young individuals by immersing them in nature, sparking transformative shifts in their perspectives and life experiences.   • The main purpose of Wild Mountains is to provide environmental education programs for young people (10 – 16 years of age) to understand the interconnectedness of our planet's resources and our actions. We run residential camps for Southeast Qld and Northern NSW schools throughout the year, as well as offering a range of other programs for university and international students, and workshops for local groups. Volunteers also contribute significantly to Wild Mountains through monthly volunteer weekends. You can read more about on the Our Story page.

    Wild Mountains Trust (ABN 75 767 213133) has endorsement as an income tax exempt charitable entity under Subdivision 50-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (ITAA 1997) (Item 1.1 – charitable institution). The Trust is also endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) under Subdivision 30-55(1) of the ITAA 1997 Item 6.1.1 – public fund on the register of environmental organisations). Wild Mountains Limited (WM Ltd) is the Trustee named for Wild Mountains Trust on the Australian Business Register, and is registered for GST.
