Introduce Environmental Ed to Your Students
Wild Mountains offers a range of truly unique school camps. We welcome primary through to secondary. We also welcome university groups. From overnight, to a week or longer. We can work with you to create a bespoke program. Choose from themes including leadership, team-building, conservation, wellbeing or earth education.
Our camp is high up on the Macpherson Range, located in subtropical rainforest, with stunning views to the valley below. It is an opportunity for students (and teachers) to reconnect with the natural world. We offer space for quiet contemplation and reflection in magical settings.
We offer opportunities to work successfully together. The off-grid centre complete with solar power, rainwater collection and compost toilets offer opportunities for students to learn about eco building, sustainable design and development. There is also an opportunity to complement your camp with a break from devices and high-speed technology.
We provide:
Skilled facilitators for educational activities
Comfortable camping in our permanent A Frame canvas tents
Delicious vegetarian and kid friendly food
4WD transfers
Main Hall space for meals and indoor activities
Beautiful rainforest setting

Earth Keepers is a captivating journey to find the mysterious character “EM”.
Students receive a letter from EM inviting them to the Earth Keepers training centre. Upon arrival, they enter EM’s lab and so the exciting journey begins.
Students are deeply engaged in hands on learning experiences that teach 4 ecological concepts:
1) The flow of sunlight energy
2) The cycling of materials
3) The inter-relationships between plants and animals
4) Change over time
Students are immersed in the natural world with sensory based activities that leave them feeling connected to the earth through earth walks and the “Seasons” play.
Students are given time to integrate their learnings and experiences through quiet reflection “magic spots”. This is usually a favourite activity.
On camp, students will receive their K and E keys for the Knowledge and Experience part of the program. By completing the follow up activities at home and school, students can receive their Y and S keys for the Yourself and Sharing part of the program.

Shapers of Tomorrow is a thought-provoking journey for young people.
Students are guided through conceptual encounters to learn about the key systems that make the earth work. They are allowed slow time to reflect on and integrate their learning experiences.
Thoughtful and animated discussions explore their perceptions of self and others. We unpack some of the environmental, social and economic challenges in the world. Shapers of Tomorrow encourages personal responsibility and inspires them to be active agents of change and leaders in a world that needs help.
