Earth Education for Teachers

$685.00

Delve into the head, heart, hands pedagogical approach of Earth Education, to inspire young people to live lightly on the planet.

Arrive for dinner on Friday evening, leave after morning tea Monday

The Whys, Whats and Ways of our Work

You’ll aquire an understanding of the principles of Earth Education. We’ll share practical ways to engage student’s in learning about Earth’s life support systems, sensory play and walking the talk.

Our purpose built off grid centre and modern facilities enhances the learning process.

Stay in low impact accomodation, with campfire and stunning views to the valley below. Wake up to birdsong and enjoy a short walk to the main Hall, nestled in the rainforest. Enjoy warm showers heated by sunlight energy with rainwater captured from our rooves. Let us take care of you with delicious vegetarian meals, modelling eating lower on the food chain.

Enjoy break out sessions with colleagues to discuss and share your projects, processes, joys and challenges.

TESTIMONIALS

“The weekend was a great way to realign my values and clarify my purpose as an environment educator. Seeing the engaging (teaching) activities in action was fantastic but then under- standing the philosophy behind them... that created the impact.”

Ollie Narbey - Principal, Bunyaville EEC

“Fascinating, informative - reinforcing the views and values I share, with a framework that provides authentic, relatable activities/programs that can be aligned to the curriculum we teach.”

Steph Tredinnick - Amaroo EEC
