Happier Outdoors - Nature Journalling

Slow down and learn the art of observation

Nature Journalling is a wonderful opportunity to be outdoors. It is carving out time to slow down enough to notice what is around you. You might take in the vista or really look at a single leaf in exquisite detail. The size, form, colours and texture. After observing and appreciating, we record that seeing onto paper.

Nature Journalling is a practice of using words and images. You may have questions or thoughts that you can write down as well. Your records can build overtime into a wonderful collection and observation of the natural world.

We will supply paper, paints and pencils.

You may like to bring your own sketch nook or journal if you have one.

No previous experience or artistic abilities necessary!

This is not a practice of artistic perfection. Don’t think you can draw or paint? No worries! We promise you will enjoy the process regardless.

Wild Mountains is approximately 1 hour from Boonah, 40 minutes from Beaudesert and 20 minutes from Rathdowney.

Arrive by 9.45am to the pick up point “Middle Quarry”. We will transfer you by 4WD to the Centre for a 10am start.

BYO packed lunch.

Bring a day pack with hat, water bottle, sunscreen and insect repellent.
